Editor's review
acslX Calc is a scriptable scientific and engineering calculator which uses a subset of the popular “M” language for technical computing, the language used by MATLAB and Octave.
Features: acslX Calc is a scientific and engineering calculator. It is scriptable. the script used is a subset of the language M that is used in Matlab. The language M is quite popular in technical computing population. acslX Calc includes the analytical engine of the acslX environment for modeling and simulation. The simulation environment is for continuous dynamic systems and processes. Simulations developed in acslX can be used in acslX Calc. The calculator includes more than 300 mathematical, scientific and engineering functions that are included in the library. Analyses including optimization, sensitivity analysis, parameter estimation and Monte-Carlo analysis may also be performed in acslX Calc. Enhancing the functionality through user defined commands and functions are easily done. The scripting is easy to do here. Elementary math functions are included. Also included are matrices and matrix manipulation features. Data analysis and Fourier transform functions, nonlinear numerical functions, numerical linear algebra are some sophisticated functions added to the library. Other such sophisticated functions include polynomial and interpolation functions, logical functions and specialized math functions, logical functions, file I/O and data import/export make sure you can manage the data output well. Text manipulation and 2D as well as 3D charting features kind of make the capabilities well rounded.
Overall: This is a very good and sophisticated calculator. Functions included are quite sophisticated.
